The Rise of Women's Solo Travel - Part One

In recent years there has been a remarkable surge in the popularity of women's solo travel. Once considered to be daring or even taboo, solo travel for women is becoming more mainstream. We at Wild Women believe this shift reflects a broader cultural change, where women are reclaiming their autonomy, challenging societal norms and embracing the freedom of exploring the world on their own terms.

Whether it's a study by StudentUniverse of Gen Z women or a study by Road Scholar of women who are mostly of the Boomer generation, there is a clear pattern emerging. We are increasingly traveling solo and we are continuing to push boundaries wherever we go.
